Loess Bluffs is not a happy place - it's cold, frozen, and the beautiful trumpeter swans and snow geese are constantly threatened by 100s of eagles.
Spending a day here will make one question the meaning of life.
Some of these beautiful birds flew 1000s of miles south for a better life, but ended up being brutally killed and eaten.
This is nature at its rawest.
All shot with Sony a1 and 600mm f/4 GM or a7R5 and 35mm f/1.4 GM or 70-200mm f/2.8 GM ii

After witnessing all the brutality, I've decided to become vegetarian. 🥶

Quite depressing .. I wonder if I really have the stomach for a trip to Kenya after all.
I gave up meat after this trip to Loess Bluffs.

I am still a carnivore, very much so

. Just the everyday hardships they go thru in order to survive. Food, shelter, predators, just basic survival.
