Quite the variety Dan. I take it you have read Alaska by James Michener? It was interesting reading how the early Russian explorers nearly wiped out all the sea otters from the Bering Sea.
Tony
Thanks, Tony. Yes I read that years ago and a few other accounts of the Russian "occupation". There are conflicting papers about how/where the sea otters made there comeback. One claim is that a small population survived in the Aleutian islands and spread from there. Others say that Hawkins Island in Prince William Sound was the spot. As widespread as they now are I suspect that small populations survived in both places.

Great stuff, Dan! Like Morris, #'s 2 & 4 are my favorites. No. 2 looks like he's reading an eye chart! :-)
Merry Christmas!
Greg
Thanks, Greg. Yeah that one is kind of comical. It's actually not that hard to get shots of them with their paws in various positions on their face. They are frequently cleaning themselves which includes rubbing their faces with their front paws.
