A couple of days ago, I visited Alley Creak for the first time in years as the trails are finally open. They were closed during the renovation of the Alley Pond Environmental Center and the renovation was slowed by the pandemic and supply chain issues. It was nice to be back at a faverate local spot and look forward to there doing more trail maintenance as only the most popular trails have been maintained.

When I was at the marsh overview, I spotted this greater yellowlegs feeding on worms in the mud. I was shocked to see one here in December. They should have left New York City at least a month ago. Then again, we have barely had any measurable snow in the past two years. It seems birds are moving north as our climate warms.

As you can see in my photos it was a cloudy day yet no wind which gave my photos a rather clean and simple look.

Nice pic's and commentary Morris. The birds prolly have this climate stuff figured out better than we do, heh.
