This guy came from nowhere and landed at a near by tree. He gave me just enough time to shoot few clicks before flying away

The flight image seems crisper than the others and is my pick as it is in a great position showing the red tail. That looks like a well used purch with some blood on it so probably a popular place for raptors to eat.

Nice . I like the flight shot as well, it's starting to get the red tail feathers .

Thanks Gero. I am still testing this puppy out. I get sharp results consistently on my 5D series body at 1/600 shooting stationery subjects during the middle of the day. I am seeing OOF shots with my R7 in Electronic and EFC. More testing to follow

Hawks do "regal" well. We have them around us all day long, but I need binoculars to see their "facial" expressions.
