p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Not a bird or a bug... then a bug

I woke up this common brown anole hugging a branch while the sunrise spotlighted him for me in the bush.

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II ƒ/4.0 200.0 mm 1/320 iso100

The only thing of interest here is his diet (and my self-portrait if you look closely).

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II ƒ/5.0 200.0 mm 1/1600 iso1250

Started processing a few from a warmer recent day out...

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II ƒ/4.0 200.0 mm 1/1600 iso320 11mm Ext Tube

Playing with silent shutter... it does do interesting things to wings in motion.

Thanks Chris! I keep trying to remain flexible and keep an open mind while trying new things. Win some lose some, but it's a whole bunch of fun trying.

Thanks Dan! I keep fighting GAS or LBA (gear acquisition syndrome or Lens Buying addiction). Ever since I got the 70-200 2.8 GM II, I keep thinking back to when I had an 85 1.4 in my old brand system and wanting to fill that gap again for portraits with creamy bokeh, but then I pull this thing out and am reminded, "oh yeah, this thing is more than good enough". And when I add an extension tube, it makes me forget about wanting the 90mm G macro or Sigma 105mm macro... this lens fills a lot of gaps for me.

It's still a hard fight though, ! I keep eyeballing the sigma 85 1.4 dg dn and just keep repeating to myself - I don't need it, I just want it...I don't need it, I just want it... and for no good reason. !
