Some images that have been posted on FM recently, on accuracy of focus tests, and so on. So far the only lenses I've used on the A7CR are the PZ 16-35 and the Batis 25.

I have been thinking of adding a Batis 25 for a while now. I can't seem to make up my mind between it, 24GM, and 24G since this FL will be the least used one. Haha.

Back with the cr and a lox 21 to complement my rx1. Noticed that even if the body can handhold 1s with a sharp center the corners will potentially still be blurred/unstabilised.

You could crop out the corners a bit to fix it.

These are just the first few random snaps with my new A7CR. I hadn't really even set it up properly and obviously didn't pay any attention to composition. I've sold my A6600 APS-C camera and am planning to use the A7CR in both APS-C and full frame mode. So the first two shots are with my Sony 70-350 G APS-C lens and the last four are with my full frame Samyang 45 1.8 Tiny Series lens, as I'm planning to use the A7CR often with my light weight lenses for hiking, fishing, travel etc. Several of these images were shot in poor light with ISO's up to 12,800. I processed all of them using my normal workflow, i.e. DXO Deep Prime 3, LR Classic, Nik 6 Color Efex. They're downsized for posting here and are much sharper at full resolution. I'm satisfied with the results. Going to be a fun camera to add to my A7, A7RII, and A7RIV. Steve

I have been thinking of APSC lenses as well. A tiny zoom could come in handy whenever I feel like going really light.

Is there any APSC zoom that is tinier and lighter than the fullframe 28-60mm? I’ve read good things about the IQ of that lens, and only 167 grams is pretty phenomenal.

Depending on one's gear mix and approach, the 18-135/3.5-5.6 is a handy bit smaller and lighter than the ff 28-200, too.

The lox 21 gives a pleasing bokeh despite being a wide angle lens.

On a side note, C1 is being really pissy on software updates to support the a7cii/r bodies...

Actually, I think as much as the left and right 1/5 edges could be affected so i'll probably just raise the iso or use a tripod..

Just to say, I have the Sigma 18-50 lens on my A7R4 when I want to travel light, and Leica users love it on their APS-C Leica CL models. It's fine even at f2.8 although there is some distortion correction auto applied, as you would expect. Browsing through the shots, I often have to check the EXIF to see whether this lens or a full-frame lens was used to take the picture. So that's a pretty good indication of its performance in practice.
