Wonderful lady, a gracious and classy couple. She and her husband represent the good we need more of in our country - not just in politics, but the world in general. May she Rest In Peace.

That is a great image, and from what I know of them they are great humans. A shame that the US was not ready for what the First Lady and her husband brought to the office of the president. Truly people who 'talk the talk and walk the walk'.

+1,2 & 3 to all the comments above. My dad was very involved in Habitat For Humanity. His picture with Jimmy was one of his proudest mementoes. They truly embody the best of our country, and real Christian (most all religions) values. Thanks for sharing this wonderful memory and photo of yours.

Fantastic portrait and very well said about the Carters, they are an example of work, love and devotion to humanity.
Thank you for sharing Brent.

Thank you all very much for the nice words. I think no matter what political differences people have the one thing we all agree on is the decency and devotion to duty that the Carters exemplified. I strongly suspect that Jimmy will follow Roselynn very soon because they were so incredibly close.
Since I'd never gone back to these old negs to do scans until doing the shot of Roselynn, I decided to do a few more from that day. Funny how doing this brings the memories flooding back. I can clearly recall the entire, very rainy, day.
Cheers,
Brent
