p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Nvidia 3060 driver

I just updated the driver for my 3060 Nvidia GPU (std card, not Ti etc). The executable file # was 546.01 (not sure of the actual driver #). When I did this my denoise times (A1 and A7R5) went from ~30 seconds to 10 mins ?!?!

I rolled the driver back ... all good now.

I was/am using 31.0.15.3161 now. Dated 4/8/23 which is 2 or 3 revs after I installed the card I think. I'm reluctant to try any interim drivers, though I have downloaded 537.42. 537.58 and 536.99

Anyone else experienced this?
Anyone using a 3060 tried version 546.01 (file number, not driver)

Thanks

Mike

I have 3060 Ti with latest top of line Intel. I have driver 546.01. Just ran test and my time was 10 sec on Oly file, 200 ISO set at about 25. Time would be longer with higher ISO and more aggressive denoise setting.

Not really happy with card. Flickering and screen response is bad. Just noticed in there software Geforce Experience there is a section to optimize Lightroom. Mine was not optimized so just did it. See if it makes any difference.

The NV Control Panel lists the driver as 546.01, FWIW.
Not that this helps you, but I have a small set of files that I batch in DxO to check for anomalies such as the one you're now experiencing. My batch time did not change when I updated to the 546.01 driver, but my card is a 1660S (Studio driver).
Maybe have a look at the NV forums. If this is a widespread problem there should be plenty of backlash.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I think I'll hold on until I see a newer release, then try that. Card is working OK so I really don't need to update. My LRC started to crash for some reason so I updated the GPU driver then removed and reinstalled LRC. It's still OK since I rolled back the driver so I guess it was a glitchy LRC install or preferences.

NV control panel says I'm now on 531.61. Windows device manager shows it as 31.0.15.3161 : 4/8/23
