The older models were universal and you had to use an adapter for Sony. No more they made a specific one for Sony. You can still use a universal with adapter but no adapters needed for Nikon/ Canon. So if switch camera brands your strobes will still work. I owned all the flash units from Wescott 200/400 units as well and they all work together off the same remote

Wescott is made in the USso service and support is as well. Godox is China and harder to get fixed

Just FYI - the Adorama Flashpoint brand is most if not all rebadged Godox gear, but with Adorama (US) support and warranty. I believe B&H also directly supports the Godox gear they sell. I do not know in either case if they do any repairs in-house or send them back to Godox in China.

Godox gear is not worth buying trust me I shot every brand for 50 years. Shot tons of annual reports and marketing for decades. Profoto is maybe the best but your going to pay
Wescott is quite good

Are you sure about this? I'm not questioning the quality or service or performance or your favorable experiences, but the Westcott gear sure looks like rebranded Chinese Jinbei (https://en.jinbei-sh.cn).

Wescott is quite good

Sorry I have to provide a counter to this. I have shot with Godox since Feb. 2014 at over 100 photo shoots with my Nikon, Olympus and now Sony gear and have had no issues with the 8 Godox/Flashpoint lights I have owned, which BTW work on all 3 systems with just a camera specific transmitter for each brand. Used if for 4 years in my own studio with a swimsuit designer where we would shoot 90 or so suits on models with 9 to 10 photos each suit, so about 900 photos each session. Have also on multiple outdoor shoots given a Nikon Godox transmitter to a Nikon photographer friend and with me using my Olympus or Sony, we photographed a model for 1/2 day with the same flash setup and it instantly switched between the two different camera settings without any hitches. So my Godox experience has been nothing but positive.

Of course Guy at GM shoots much higher amounts of shots at his events and he may have really stressed the equipment beyond what my semi-pro use has. Not saying Godox is the quality of Pro Foto or others, but for most flash users Godox is fine.

One not shot photo I could be out the door. That is NOT how Pro photography works you simply can't miss . At least that's what goes into it with your mindset. I have shot every Strobe system to date, its really been my career calling is my lighting . Name them I shot them. Im a 50 year Pro that basically comes down to being a master at lighting with strobe. When I turn a unit on I want the first shot to fire not 20 later which has happened with Godox. The issue is risk I am not willing to take with a unit made in China and no repair station here in the USA. Sure Adorama sells flashpoint which I have bought a load from. But still not made here where I can get parts , firmware and such from Wescott. You can play the game but you cannot be effective in that game when shit don't work. I have not been lucky with Godox and out the door it went. I have zero use for OEM loyalty. All I'm saying is I don't trust them at all. That's my opinion and use case . Don't trust that opinion and use case than good luck. Im not here to save money my mindset is make big money. Not just the gear but your reputation is on the line and that's worse IMHO.

Nice. I have a 4 TB T7 and just purchased a 4 TB T9. I also backup everything on my old PC with a 16 TB HDD that I use as a file server. I just need to figure out the cloud backup part of it. I subscribe to M365 service and get 1 TB of OneDrive storage with it, but that is obviously not enough storage.

Unfortunately, there is no code. My company is in Samsung Employee Discount program, so I just have to login with my work email to get the discounted price. I believe you can also get the same discount if you have a .EDU email.

Samsung sent me a $25 coupon and a $50 coupon (this one is a long story), so I literally just paid $139 for a 4 TB T9. Pretty happy with the deal.
