One thing one needs to remember is that AliExpress is just a market place. There are good and bad sellers on it. Same as on eBay, Amazon, Walmart etc. Yes, walmart.com also is a market place where some items are sold/shipped by private sellers. With that in mind, who knows maybe that particular AliExpress seller is actually selling “genuine” CFExpress cards but his reputation will be damaged by others selling fakes. Back in the day, when Canon 1DXII came out, I bought “fake” Lexar CFast cards on eBay for half the price. These were shipped straight from China. Couple of years later one of them started to give me random corrupted files. I contacted Lexar US and had all cards replaced by Lexar with new cards. At the end, these “fake” eBay cards turned out to be actually genuine Lexar products or good enough fakes to convince even Lexar to replace them under the warranty
On the other hand, recently I bought a 1TB SD card off AliExpress for literally a $1. Of course the card went dead after the 3rd use. But I wasn’t expecting much anyways And yes, AliExpress can be difficult with returns.
Moral of the story is that if you can afford to risk it, I don’t see a problem with trying out those CFE-A cards. I might buy one myself but only to run it as the backup card. Not the only/primary card I’m writing to.
