I saw this before on https://www.cpricewatch.com/ The camera may be eligible for the 10% Canon Loyalty Program, or whatever they call it now, making it a little over $1800 before taxes. They are probably gearing up for the Black Friday sales

With tax it’s cheaper to get new from CPW and they include an additional battery.

If you can use the 10% off, then it's $1817.10. With tax, it's $1926. CPW is $2199 with the battery, as long as they are available.

Can’t order online, you have to call the 1-800 sales number to speak to an associate. You would ask the associate if the lens you’re interested in is in stock and if it is, is it available as part of the Canon Loyalty Program. It’s actually kinda of an upgrade program because you will be asked which lens you are upgrading from and asked to provide the serial number for the lens you’re “replacing”.

You’re not required to trade in the old lens or anything, you’re just using the lens and serial number to get an additional 10% off. I have all my warranty cards in a box so I can quickly get the serial number but the number is also on each lens. Not easily noticeable because it’s kind of gray on black print on the barrel of the lens.

There’s a 3 item limit during a calendar year.

Edit: Applies to a Canon Body as well. Same process but give the serial number for an older model you’re looking to upgrade from.

I got both EOS R and R6 through the Canon Loyalty Program, yes it is refurbished but it also come with a year warranty much better deal than getting used.

The CLP is a good option, especially with the 10% or 20% discounts, but you have to know when to shop. Buying used from the B/S Forum is also good, especially if the seller is established, and most of the time, it's cheaper then buying refurbished.

Bought a R6 Mark II through the loyalty program (first time) at the beginning of October for $2097 w/tax. $550 savings. I thought that was a good deal.
