p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Berry Good

This was taken yesterday afternoon at Oakland Lake here in New York City. I was set up waiting for a small bird to come back out after it hid when some people walked past when this squirrel popped out for a moment. My camera was set for bird detect which did not find a bird yet I have it set to fall back to zone and had just enough time to compose yet by the time I moved the the zone to get focus on the eye it was fleeing.

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Morris

Great composition on this one Morris. I think that is an acorn rather than a berry though? You sure got great eye contact in this one and you were in close it looks like, nice BG coloring too.

Thats a good look he's giving you Morris, like, you're not going to try and take my prize are you? He's a rank amateur compared to a chipmonk though, they'd just hide it from you in their cheek, heh.

You did great in the time you had... amazing all those pics we took with manual focus, huh?
Good thing most never saw larger than 4x6 or we'd find out just how accurate our focus was(n't).

Ah nuts! Missed that acorn ID. I was about 10 feet from it. Thank you

Thank you Eric,

Sometimes chipmunks look like there going to explode. Not only manual focus, how abut quickly upping the ASA (ISO)?
