Big John's Pond at Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge was full of the teals. They hid in the reads and came back out as I watched and photographed them from the blind. For a while the only way I could get a photo of the males was to shoot between some branches with changing leaves and this lead to a neat effect I show in the second photo. All are at 840mm and hand held shooting out the windows of the blind.
