Just a couple of keepers from a short evening hike at one of my locals. Still amazed at the crop-ability of the files from the A7rV and the job that Topaz AI Sharpen can do. The duck shots are HUGE crops and for that reason the noise was enhanced however todays processing lends great help to make files presentable.

C&C as you wish, always appreciated

Karl

You know I'm a sucker for the up close high detail stuff making the downy girl in #3 my fave Karl, but the goose hazard on the 9th hole is a pretty cute runner up. Number 1 reminds me how fast fall colors pass, and soon I won't be quite as home sick for the gray days... until y'all start posting pics of the fresh white stuff from winter wonderland, then I'll be missing my fireplace and Franklin stove... some people are just hard to please. Nice set Karl.

I like all of these Karl. I love the fall color and detail of the second Karl making that one my pick. I've been using AI sharpen for a long time and it dose wonders for detail yet can create some strange artifacts in the background so I selectively sharpen. I use a mix of noise reduction software:
- Adobe Denoise AI
- Neat Image
- Topaz Denoise

My choice varies by the amount and type of noise. I no longer worry about using high ISOs.

Nice set, Karl. No. 4 is bordering on being a Nello (is he still around ). That Topaz does a nice job, but what it really tells me is you need bigger glass

Thanks for your picks and your reasons why, the light and color and depth was just too good to pass up a few shots on the Goose. Just had a good feel to it for a common subject.
Those colors as you know go ablaze then rapidly decline, getting there now with lots of leaves on the trees with no color left. Slow as we have not had a frost yet!
Yup, a blizzard outside with a nice fire in the fireplace and all is good, just as long as it doesn't overstay its welcome
Thanks buddy

Yes Auto ISO is fine for me. Once in a while I am surprised just how far up that scale I go!
Thanks for your pick

Thanks Vic, just the right place but tricky on light for these shots. A long shot but I saw the potential for some nice BG color and glad you appreciated it, thanks much.

Well I wasn't sure about #4, was not going to include it but kinda liked how it felt, glad to hear you liked it The grays caught a little bit of blue, just a fun little last minute capture before losing the light.

Gosh I often think about him and the fun we all had with presenting our ' Nello's' back in the crazy days here! Has been quite a while since I have heard from him. He used to come to the States once in a while, might have to see if I can reach out to him

Bigger glass, hmmmm an affordable 800 would be considered, otherwise I just keep getting more Megapixels to crop up with as it seems to be cheaper than glass
Thanks for the chuckle!

I'd say you had a very fruitful walk Karl. What a nice variety, very well done. And, I agree with you on both counts that of Topaz Photo AI and the Sony A7RV.
