I recently purchased a 50 Lux, Aspherical
Ive been using it on my M10-R and have noticed at larger apertures if I focus on a subject it will almost always rear focus at a point 6" behind the focus point.
To aid in focusing im using a 1.25x magnifier on the M10-R

Is this a common issue ?

Your camera or lens is out of calibration. Does your camera focus correctly with other lenses?

I had this issue awhile back with my M240 and 75mm. It was fine with my 28mm and 35mm lenses, but not with the longer one.

Sent it into Don at DAG camera to have the rangefinder calibrated and when I got it back it worked fine...

Hmm I suspect ill do the same.
My Zeiss 35f/2 , 50f/2, 28f/2.8, and Summicron 90 are all consistently on target when focusing wide open.

Im not too thrilled about placing gear in the mail. Does anyone have someone in Southern California that they'd recommend ?

If the 50mm is off and the longer 90mm is spot on I would look into getting the 50mm calibrated before sending the camera off.

DAG also calibrates lenses...

Just my thoughts.

Or, you can figure out how much intentional rangefinder patch misalignment you need to set to get correct focus, if you don't want to send the lens away.

Using live view, focus on something, then check the alignment of the RF patch. The amount the RF patch is off is how much you have to intentionally 'mis-focus' when using the optical viewfinder with that lens.

Of course this is not ideal, but it's a workaround that lets you use the lens in the meantime.
