On Monday, I visited Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge here in New York City for the first time since March. It was a lovely fall day with the temperature around 55f, no wind and light overcast sky's. Having checked the satellite map, I knew it would be clearing around sunset. For sunset, I moved to the West Pond and set up on the earth dam in a location we photographers call "The Runway" as it's the place that birds fly in and out the most because of the wind direction. I was having such a great time I kept increasing my ISO and did not leave till an hour and 10 minutes after the sun went down. Here are some faverate sights starting 45 minutes after sunset.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
