The mountains of the Southern Cape in South Africa act as a barrier between the coastal plain and the Great Karoo which is pretty much semi desert. The clouds up against the Swartberg (black moutains) are a typical autumn scene.

Nice shot. I assume you did the 10 shots to increase pixels/resolution. I often do the same. It also works well to keep foreground elements like the bush on the right sharp.

Thanks Jim - You're correct about the pixels but I also like using a long enough focal length (in this case 64mm) to give me the look that is fairly close to what I see. As it happens we had a club assignment on panos but I would have done it anyway..
