After some cooler weather rolled in a few days back, I decided to go out to the 'Hornsby Bend Bird Observatory' and shoot some ducks. Other than a bunch of Coots, there were quite a few Northern Shovelers out in the ponds. Problem is they tended to stay out a ways and generally liked to irritate me by taking off in the opposite direction -- showing me their butts -- funny how that works!
On the way out there was a large flock of Starlings in the trees and I managed a couple decent shots of one.
