Black-legged Kittiwake

The Black-legged Kittiwake is rare bird to be seen in Central Washington and is the third time one has been reported since 2002. This bird is an immature Black-legged Kittiwake. I feel lucky to have photographed it.

What a cool blessing, Morrie! These are lovely. Great job on the difficult exposure.
My favorite is #3 -- wing position, head position, and tail position are all perfect in my book.

That is my favorite as well. It was cloudy day wiht soft lighgt when I photographed it. Thanks for the comment.

Morris, Thank you for the comment. It was a very cloudy day so that gave the soft lite. The background on the third photo is probably the spill way for the Ice Harbor Dam on the Snake River if I remember correclty the way the bird was flying when took the photo. It was making a dive to catch a fish. Then on the other hand It might be the water.

These are wonderful, great feel to them. Something special about #3, excellent comp and pose!! I also really like #4 but all are a joy
