I apologize for the excessive posting lately but I'm heading back to the west coast to help my daughter through her last two chemo sessions (14 of 16 completed) and I can't login while I'm away so I just wanted to get this one up.
I spend a lot of time sitting on her back patio while I'm there and I'd been noticing hummingbirds perching way up in the trees. I wanted to do something to draw them in but I didn't want a feeder for a number of reasons. Mostly because it was just something else for them to take care of. So I went to a local hardware store and bought two Salvia plants and stuck them in a pot. I wasn't getting much of a response for the first couple weeks but on the morning we were flying back to NY guess who showed up 
I was sitting with a coffee and my camera beside me so I managed a few shots.
Anyways, thanks for taking a look, no need to respond, just wanted to share. A premature Happy Holidays to everyone and I hope I have some good news to share down the road.
