p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Autumn at Kissena Park

We are approaching peak color here in New York City with some trees and bushes in full color and others still green. The annual chore of moving the leaves from my lawn and walks and into my compost heaps has begun and I'm out taking photos enjoying the change. The first of the winter birds have started to arrive and more will be here soon. The first photo of this set was taken shooting across Kissena Lake to a wooded area were people have no access. The second is of a tree on the side of the trail on the south side of the lake.

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Morris

#1 has great use of DOF Morris, at this size viewing, it appears you have from the lead duck to the heron all in focus, which seems near impossible for that long lens wide open, but I have to believe my eyes. Probably the crop sensor factor is messing with my FF mind's eye, heh heh.

The second is my choice though....it is fun to look at with all the detail and great colors with a warm glow.
Nice shooting on #1 but #2 takes me to my happy place.

Thank you Eric,

The first is a crop showing about 2/3 of the frame and if you saw it larger you would see the ducks are slightly out of focus. I also like the second best.
