Hello everyone,

My Leica CM battery door has broken: I do believe some dirt has entered the mechanism and I can't twist it anymore

Unlike the Minilux which has a removable battery door, the CM it's attached. I went to Leica Store in London which unfortunately said "sorry we don't have those parts anymore".
I managed to open it but now the door is a bit loose, so in order for the camera to work you really need to hold firmly with your hand.

Did anybody encountered a similar problem with P&S? It's a real shame as the whole camera is in such a beautiful condition...

Have you tried Aperture and/or ClassicCamera? They may be able to point you to someone that can service it. Both a short walk from each other in central London.

I've tried Aperture and they said the same. No parts available. I guess it's not worth anyone's time to try and fix it.
I'm not very DIY, I'm pretty sure it could be fixed in some way. I put it on eBay as an auction and see what's happen, it could be a good bagain for someone that can open it up.

Nice one. I'm sending the camera to him on Monday, just spoke with him, maybe he can work some magic out!
