I submitted for consideration ... along with 800+ others photographers, globally.
I have no idea how many images were actually submitted in total, since folks could submit between 1 - 10 images. I reckon one could consider that there were 7500 or so images submitted, and the 75-ish selected represented 1% of the total images submitted.
Otoh, 75 is a bit lsss 10% of the 800+ photographers, if only one image per was submitted. But, I really don't know what the real numbers were. Either way, I'm glad to have one of mine accepted into the exhibit artists.
IPHF is kind of a personal one for me. I used to drool about going to the Brooks Institute when I was a young sailor. But that was so out of my league (cost prohibitive) it was but a fantasy I couldn't put before my family's needs. The IPHF began at Brooks long ago, so it is also a connection to my ambitions from my earliest years with our beloved craft.
