It is the best time of the year in the Phoenix, AZ region. I was out for my usual walk to the riparian preserve hoping to find something unusual.

Lot of migratory birds. Having said that, I feel ecstatic when I can get a common bird in a beautiful setting.

This is one such occasion. Misty pond with a warm sunrise, provides for some of the best sceneries for a high contrasty bird like the egret.

As always, suggestions, critiques all welcome.

The snowy's white against the golden works well. Great low shooting angle. Very nice 4.

All beauties Sathsy. Fog and mist are one of the joys of fall along with the stunning colors. The warm colors set these images off. I'm wondering if the snowy egret in the first images is a bit blue. That image is also my pick, a superb view of the landing in golden light.

The setting and lighting really set these off as fairly unique images of a common bird. Well done.

Thank you @morris (I have adjusted the white balance on the first egret shot and attached to this comment, I might need to recalibrate my monitor again). Now that you mentioned it, I am seeing a bit bluish hue on the 1st egret. Great catch.

The snowy is white now. It almost looks black and white with that bright orange background. It's easy for our eyes to get fooled when we are working with images like this. There is also an artistic question about weather correct color looks best.
