IF you want to get some good understanding of color theory ... Dan Margulis goes pretty deep. I have a couple of his early books on Photoshop and LAB, that served as my foundation (Amazon, used). Those were written back before photoshop had so many bells / whistles / features / etc. So, the books were pretty deep in color theory, since there wasn't nearly as many widgets to cover.
Dan is still around and runs a small online forum on it. A few years ago, he ran a weekly "image correction" challenge. If you're not familiar with him ... pioneer of color theory (in our digital PS realm) wouldn't be too far of a stretch. Dan is probably, long forgotten by most folks, in the advent of those who followed in his footsteps, but were much better marketers / promoters than Dan.
Is there a particular aspect regarding Color Theory that you are interested in?
