No flat - just a lot of crappy weather. I need a clear day with winds below 12 mph. Those days have been hard to come by. A second issue is a marked decrease in bird activity over prior years. Now we have Sandhill Cranes at Bombay Hook and fewer shore birds. I was told they are all headed to Nickerson Beach.
I am headed out Tuesday - sunny with winds under 20 mph

As you know its migration and there are a lot less birds at Nickerson Beach as they head south yet the American Oystercatchers are gathering, resting and feeding so they can make the hop across the ocean to New Jersey and then Delaware Bay. Be on the lookout for my friends in a week or so.
