Hey all,
I’m trying to help my friend who is going to sell her GFX 50R and 63mm F/2.8. The body is fine but the lens is a problem.
It seems GF63 is broken and the body only shows turn off the body and then on but it never solved the problem. The lens barrel never moved. I assume the motor is broken since she did not use it for a long time. But for now, I have no clues. She bought it a while ago and no longer needs it but selling it would be impossible as it requires repairing. Even if repairing is possible, I’m afraid the repair price would be too high. Let’s say if she decides to sell it for $800, then more than half of the price might be wasted with repair. She lives in NYC but I don’t see any places where GF lens can be fixed and no clues about the repair rate. Sending it to other state will be expensive as well.
Any suggestion what to do with broken GF63? Repair it even if it’s expensive or?
