All I can really say is that I've been going to Bodie, Ca. for over half a century now and every time I go I find something new and interesting, or maybe I should say something old and interesting to photograph or just to look at and ponder. This trip the weather was very mild for mid August with temps in the mid 70's and skies to die for. Other times it's been well over a hundred at that time of year.

Thanks Rich. A lot of it was just waiting for the light to feel right. But, since you're three thousand miles away in Sag Harbor, Bodie is a place to put on your list of cool places to visit.

List is getting very long! Lol. These babies need to get a little older. Don’t rush too fast kids! But daddy needs a photo trip lol.

Wait 'till they're old enough to appreciate it. These places will still be there. I think I was about 12 when I first went and have never been the same since.
