Wood Ducks in flight

I photographed the wood ducks at Kissena Park here in New York City. There was a bit of smoke in the air yet the light was still harsher than I like when I took these. I'm shooting across the lake and cropping yet the IQ seems acceptable to me so I'm sharing these photos of the very colorful ducks that are one of my faverate subjects.

Oh gosh these are colorful fun

I liked #1 until I got to #2, but maybe #2 without the OOF BG bird??
#3 a very unique look to the eye, slight ghosting of image but a rather pretty image to enjoy

Every time I see a wood duck, its usually the back end as it races away from my camera. Very nice set Morris, 2 is my fave.

That was my experience till they started to live at Kissena Park and became somewhat used to people.

I was struggling with the harsh light that did not want to soften up as the day progressed
