Precisely the point. Photoshop is the oldest, most generalized image, not just photo, editing software. It is/was all things to all people, probably more photo oriented than Illustrator. Then Adobe released Lightroom which added photo organization to basically Adobe camera raw. That has grown over the years becoming more Photoshop like but without the layers that gives photoshop its strength. Now there are AI (I hate that term and would prefer machine learning instead) processing functions which have also been added to Lightroom to a lesser degree. This kind of processing capability is very powerful and can be used, abused, or not used at all depending on your needs, wants, philosophy.
I personally think it adds valuable capability. Old Photoshop, back in the day, could be used for nefarious purposes, but that is not Photoshop's fault. You can't regulate moral behavior.
