Until the Rebel T2i died, my daughter was using it to learn photography with a 50mm prime lens prior to taking a high school course in photography. I'll see if she willing to share some of her best photos on here.
New cameras are better, but 'old' ones can still hold their own. My 5DII keeps on rocking. Plus, I take it on trips now and don't stress about losing or breaking it. Or hand it to someone to take some pics.
