Didn't see any bears when we played that course many years ago but sure did have the elk. They were all over downtown also.

Nice stuff Scott...
I really like the pair of bulls sizing each other up and your final bear shot... it's a little strange to see the bears on such a groomed habitat, but the weather and trees in the background balance this out in some way.

It is strange to have bears on a golf course. I would not normally post them. I avoided the grass mostly for the elk. But the bears capture the ambience of a great evening with bears and elk.

Nice series. That being said, in number one, the elks in the back appear slightly out of focus. They're not so out of focus that attention is drawn to the first two, but blurry enough to be distracting. It's a fun picture but I think it would have been much better had you found a way to really blur the two in the back.
I love the two elks facing off - classic.

Blueridger: You are right either more dof blur or none would be better.The elks in the back are slightly out of focus because of long lens and wider open aperture (smaller dof). The light was fading and I was choosing between high iso vs motion blur vs the effect you see. I should have gone higher on stop for this picture. I have not yet got used to the super high iso capability of my camera combined with noise reduction. Glad you like the elks facing off and the series. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Real nice set Scott, nice to see the Elk and the bear. I took a short side trip a couple of weeks ago and drove around the ring road of the golf course hoping to see the Elk or bear but no luck it was a grey rainy day.
