At an "Antique Fair" I met this old seller of old books - he is also an occasional author himself and had stories of living for long spells in Bermuda, pre-modern China, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
A "character" certainly but as he sat between piles of National Geographic magazines and his framed print of an old tall ship it was difficult to be sure how tall his tales really were - but a fun hour of of listening for the price of a couple of books which we really didn't need.

Thank you Douglas - not the best photograph technically but increasingly I value the content over that and he was a very interesting fellow who had lived a life very different from me - and I guess most of us .

I do not judge all photographs on the technical aspects of photography John. Your subject is excellent and he is perfect! The kind of person I would just like to sit down with and chat about life experiences!

Nicely done, both the photos and buying the books to "pay him." He looks like Gandolf to me.
