Has anyone use this lens for Astrophotography? Would love to see some photos to see how it does.

I don’t have the Nikon version, but I owned the Tamron 17-28 when I shot Sony, and it’s the same lens optically. I used it in Death Valley and it did a nice job. While coma isn’t zero wide open, it’s very well controlled. The shot below is a two shot blend - foreground at f/5.6 and a very long exposure (nearly 4 minutes). The stars are at higher ISO, like a 20 second expsoure at f/2.8.

Wow! Fantastic, just what I was looking for. Any chance you could post a crop of what the stars look like in the corners? Are they very "angel-winged"?
