Butch & Sundance, Tom Horn and Ann Bassett...they all plied their trade out of Brown's Hole, Colorado. One step left and you're in Utah, one step right and you end up in Wyoming...this valley is as far away from every place else in Colorado that you really need a map to get there. Those names are part of history but who remains are the generations of working ranchers. My wife's first cousin still operates a ranch in Brown's Hole (now Brown's Park) and we try to visit as often as we can. It still retains the character of what used to be. These photo's were taken in and near their corrals and tack shed. Hope you like them.

Absolutely gorgeous, Al. The tones in the wood and metal are superb and the subjects are perfect for b&w. The entire series is first rate.

I hadn't thought much about converting them to BW as the color images were very nice, but I always seem to find an appreciative crowd here. Thanks for your comment.
