We did a favor for our neighbor and he responded with a bouquet and a bottle of wine. The bouquet is on a steep decline after being inside for a week, so my wife relocated it to her potting table out back.

PS to Vail: The fast shutter speed was used so as to enable a wide open aperture for minimum DOF. The exif is incorrect. I was actually shooting at f/1.4.

Thanks very much. Sometimes when I'm shooting with the Monochrom I look for images that are almost entirely about tones. Most people would agree that the subject matter for this image is pretty weak, but I think it does have some nice tonal qualities

Brent I understand your comment BUT I am seeing something a bit different.
Heard this at a photo seminar years ago:
"Juxtaposition is not a new dance move all the kids are into…!"aka the flowers that are in the forefront of the lily....If I remember the seminar correctly the image require, at minimal, 2 elements to draw the viewer into the "frame". Yours does that.It forces the viewer to "see" the whitness" of the lily. Plus the fact that the rest of the "bouquet" does that very well. That is good!
