This is the big brother to the common Noblex 150 UX rotating lens panoramic camera. It produces massive 50 x 170 negatives that are tack sharp across the frame. These are quite rare and I have never seen one in as good condition.
It has lens shift, adjustable focus, and highly accurate electronic lens travel mechanism. This camera received a full service from Bob Watkins at Precision Camera Works (THE expert on Noblex in the US) a 4 or so years ago and works flawlessly.
Cosmetically, the camera is beautiful and has very few slight marks and no dings or dents. The film door on the 175 UX is very heavy and in the process of loading film many of these camera's door hinges were damaged or broken and now show repairs (most of the ham-fisted variety!). This one has never been damaged or repaired at all - I always take great care with the door when loading film. A slow speed module is included that allows very slow shutter speeds of up to two seconds, and multi exposure capabilities allow for unlimited time exposures. Retail price on the camera alone was $5200 before it was discontinued.
Included is the original custom Noblex trunk with keys that has cutouts for the camera, slow speed module, ViewFinder and accessories like a Panolux, filters and sundries (not included). I am also including an original owners guide, but it is in German; the English version is available online. I am happy to talk the buyer through all functions in a Zoom session - including the correct and efficient loading of the camera - as this is a wonderful, but somewhat quirky camera when first used.
Note that the Arca Plate shown in the photos is not included.
