p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · A Rare Host for Common Jelly Ear

This species is common on the bark of Common Elder Sambucus nigra.

IIn late April and early March of this year, I spotted this growing on some logs I had sawn off a mature Black Mulberry Morus nigra. Apparently, It has been found a few times before on this host in the UK but it is unusual.

The weather conditions were mostly sub-optimal, with most shots against a bright, overcast sky. Those images showed a lot of flare and required more than usual processing.

Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic 100 - 400mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar, first 2 at 236mm, then at 400mm at f8, hand-held.

There is one conventional stereo and the same pair crosseye.
