Beautiful tones in that old wood. Lots of ghost memories in there. One can almost see them walking around.
Cheers,
Brent

The clang of the hammer forging a horseshoe or flattening a knife blade...super image Bob!
The light is perfect!

Thank you all.

A site I routinely visit but now little changes other than some items moving around..

Before Covid the forge hosted several workshops, the first was knife making (the bar stock was portions of leaf spring steel). The second was a more advanced project. Over time, instructors and projects changed but with a shrinking cadre of participants full-day workshops became economically unfeasible.

That said, still an interesting place to check-in on occasionally.- always a photo-op of some kind. The light in the building (carpenter shop in the area on the other side of the back wall) is always great - over time, several FM posts captured there.

Best, and thanks again to all

Bob

Nice shot Bob, with the appropriate darkness seen in these old blacksmith shops. Perfect application for a lens like the CV. I have a place like that near by, however, the black smith does not allow photography. It's not active any more and now they only produce corn brooms the ancient way.

Thank you Joachim,

My latest run down the rabbit hole is using adapted glass on the Z6ii. ISO performance, IBIS, and focus-peaking are great. Currently I've used the CV 35mm APO and a CV Z 50mm F2 APO. I enjoy a more organic (too often used term but "Oh Well") look compared to razor crisp digital images.

Best,

Bob
