I have tried several times to download the CL 4.1 firmware update without success. I have formatted the blank SD card in camera. Placed that card in my computer and transferred the download to the root folder (not DCIM or MISC). I then place my SD card in camera and proceed to install update. I get an error message that no firmware is found on the SD card. When I place the SD card back in the computer I still see the firmware download. What might I not be doing correctly?

It has been a while... but is your file unzipped and does it have a .lfu extension?

Yes, it has an LFU extension. I tried to open it with Adobe Reader…..no luck.

Not sure what could be the issue. I just tried downloading from this link:
https://leica-camera.com/sites/default/files/2021-12/CL___41_.lfu

Copied the file CL___41_.lfu to the root folder of my SD card and my CL recognized it.

In my case it said "Update file is the same version as current firmware" as I already have 4.1 installed.

Thanks for the help. Not sure what is happening. I tried that link and got 404 page not found. Can’t seem to ID an app on Mac that opens a LFU.

I wonder whether that is your browser. It is a valid link. When I click on it it automatically (once more) downloads the firmware for me.

I am not aware of any app that would allow to open LFU files.

I will give a go again on another browser and see if I make better headway. Will report back tomorrow. Appreciate your help.

Gave it a new go this morning and it worked. The frequent downloading of the file placed a number in the name which is what was causing the issue. Not sure why it didn’t work the very first time, but the download is complete.
