As much as I hate to say it, you hit the nail on the head. The Leica 35mm APO Summicron-SL is easily the lens that can handle that and will excel in sharpness, contrast and microcontrast. Yes, it's expensive, but look around - you can often find preowned examples for around $3k or so. You'll never have to buy another L mount 35mm, though. FWIW, I own the 35, 50 and 75mm APO Summicron-SL lenses for my SL2-S (and used them with the SL2 when I had it) and they're so good I often carry all of them in my bag.
