LR/PS and Bridge for $10/mo is great. Don’t care about the subscription, it gets a lot of updates that have dramatically improved my workflow and eliminates the need for other software - like the smart masks in LR, AI NR, generative fill to remove objects, enhance resolution and so on. I use classic on desktop and LR on my phone for quick edits when on the go. The way I look at it, $10/mo = about 30 years of LR when compared to the price of the a7RV body, so it’s a bargain IMO.

This is something I do now. I will often shoot with the exposure set to highlights. Then use the auto adjust in capture one to correct the whole batch at once. In camera I also have zebra turned on at 109. There is often a need to turn up exposure compensation as hylight mode won’t always ETTR. Other times I will use the multi exposure mode if there are no important highlights to protect. My understanding is the iPhone shoots in highlight mode and then corrects before displaying to the user.
