Lightroom image not opening in Photoshop

A new issue has recently developed on my Mac when using Lightroom. When I select “open image in Photoshop” my screen switches over to Photoshop but the image does not open. I can open the image, with Lightroom edits, directly in Photoshop from the storage location though. This also seems a bit bizarre to me that if I open the file from the storage drive it includes the Lightroom edits. Anyone else having this issue? Know how to resolve? Thanks.

A recent update fixed that. Make sure you have the latest version.

I have the most current versions of each...Lightroom (12.5), Photoshop (25.1) and Camera Raw (15.5.1). I'm beginning to expect the latest Camera Raw version may be the issue.

Both Photoshop and Lightroom have their own copy of ACR. Make sure that both have the same ACR version.
Not sure that is your issue yet when they are not synced, issues can occur.

Thanks, I’ll check that. For now I reinstalled the previous version of Photoshop and everything works fine.
