Colorado fall colors will be peaking at the end of the month.
Many great spots, many angles, and if you're lucky solitude as well.
Some years snow arrives early, other years too early, but every year is a great experience in different ways.
For some lucky early risers there will be fog, more typical in the northern states.

Thank you, some overcast can give great light, like in this early morning photo. Clouds are not there every day, forecast watching sure helps.

Reflections are very special to experience, even if it often takes more than one visit.

This was one of my favorites last year.

The above photo was from 1 of 5+ visits there. It was a stretch of clear skied days, little hope for clouds, too late in the season for other great spots, and some spots are more than the destination, getting there is half the experience, and returning is never boring.

During rare years the peaks are more covered with snow, while the trees keep their yellow leaves
