Having lived long in the New York City in the past, moving to Connecticut was a big leap with long commute. Came Covid, we were trapped at home. We need to get some air. That was when we started to explore local nature preserves for short hikes and strolls. The experience gave us family what we could not possibly get in New York City Beautiful nature in few minutes drive. Nature is surrounding us every direction we went. It is not a National Park spectacle, but the local beauty of our area has been nurturing our soul everyday. I am so grateful to live where we live now. Few shots from a nearby nature preserve.

Luka - Beautiful scenery! My mom lives in CT and I visit now and then and always with a camera. The state has some beautiful areas for sure.

Luka nice set of images. I've lived in CT for the past 40 years and have enjoyed exploring this beautiful State. There is unfortunately too much traffic at times on the highways with people traveling through the State on their way to other beautiful destinations throughout New England, but in the more rural areas of this State, you can find some beautiful and serene places to hike and enjoy nature. There is a fair amount of wildlife in this State including Bears, Bobcats, and Moose.

Thank you so much. One positive outcome from the pandemic was really to find many local gems. I am hoping to capture more of such beauty.

I am such a new comer to CT and happy to find the beauty that I did not know about. You are right, when I lived in NY, Connecticut was often along the 'path' to the big destinations and did not know much about its beauty. Lliving in Western CT now, I feel lucky to find out many beautiful areas. The undulating beautiful hills, small valleys with rapids, I am fully enjoying this beautiful little state.
