End of summer means dam release season in upstate NY, which also brings the Whitewater Monarch of NY series of races. The first was just outside Colton last Saturday. The River Beast was definitely waiting to eat some easy prey, but I only saw one paddler actually go for a swim on the falls photographed here, which I think were the steepest on the course. C&C always welcome... gear of choice was a 1Dx3 with a 600f4 and 1Div with a 70-200 f2.8.
