By the way - constructive criticism or suggestions for edits are very welcome here! This was a serendipitous grab shot, and it came out OK but not as well as hoped, so I'm very open to any improvements, even small ones.

Sony A7riii, Voigtlander 40/1.2 shot at f/1.2, 1/40 s, iso 1250, handheld.
Pretty much my setup for evening/nighttime walkarounds - leave the CV at f/1.2, set the minSS to 1/40, and let auto iso do its thing. If the iso goes too high, just add some Tri-X-looking grain in post and don't worry about high-iso noise!

I'm curious what you were hoping to get that you didn't. I think it's a great shot--very evocative. There are all kinds of possible story lines that would fit.

I'm happy with it, but in some way it just didn't *quite* come out as my mind's eye saw the scene at the time, maybe the isolation of the person under the streetlight and the level of contrast or fade down the street. I think also the wires figured in the scene more as an upper frame or parallel to the street, but not as prominent in the image.

I think the isolation aspect comes through strong, with the guy on the bench being the only person in sight. The stark lighting also contributes to that mood. I really can't think of anything this image needs to be better than it is.
