p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Bloodthirsty Pika - Kananaskis Country

The most dangerous animal in the Canadian Rockies. Extremely vicious, with a blood curling scream that terrifies even the toughest men. If you’ve never heard them call out before, just do a Youtube search for pika calling out. Be warned though, it is terrifying. Picture taken July 1, Kananaskis Country, Alberta.

Nice shot, like Morris I've only seen brown ones. Did you have to use pika spray to ward it off?

You're right--that roar really belies the pika's dimunitive size. The enormity of its call is well captured in your portrait of it!

Ya gotta watch the little ones! I saw a gal trying to "friend" a chipmunk at Glacier National Park almost lose her fingertip a few years ago, Gordon.
