I should know this, but if I use one of my 600EX RT speedlites as a master flash in group mode (mounted on camera) and I want it to contribute flash to the exposure; which group is the on camera flash in? Does it just default to being “A”? I need to be able to adjust its exposure and don’t see any way to do this, unless it is indeed “A” flash. If that’s the case I suppose I’ll just move my “A” slave to another group, so I can control the independently.
*upon testing - it does seem to be in the “A” group, even though there’s no indication of it. I tried dialling down the A group EC to -3 stops, and it appears to be darkening the on camera master when I do this.
