Hello,
Let me take you to our local reeds in the search of their noisy inhabitants. “Beka” reserve is a conservation area supporting a wide variety of animals, both fish, invertebrates, mammals and birds alike. And is the only one in Poland including stretch of sea in its boundaries. During spring and summer entrance is close due to breeding season, however outside of reserve a huge reedbed continues along with some flowery meadows giving a lot of photographic opportunities. I went there shooting mainly birds and funnily it turned out that every outing only one single species was generous to pose. But every session a different one was cooperative, so all in all I have managed to score few keepers of couple different species😊 In the pictures you can find: western yellow wagtail, citrine wagtail (quite rare in Poland), winchat, sedge warbler and common rose finch.
One of the shots, guess which one 😊, managed to win a prize in a competition, which I am very proud of!
I hope you like the images too! Enjoy!
P.S. all the pictures were resized to 2048p and then to 1600p on flickr. Most of them in original could be easily printed on A3 size paper with good quality 😊
Cheers,
Michal
